Air Jordan 9 (IX) Retro – For the Love of the Game

Originally, this pair of Air Jordan 9 (IX) were dubbed by many as the Un-Powders, due to their similar color scheme as the Air Jordan 9 (IX) – Powder Blues, but in a different placement. Now we are learning that they are part of the collection of sneakers entitled For The Love of The Game, which is actually a collaboration between Nike and Jordan Brand.

This is bigger than just shoes, as Nike will hold the World Basketball Festival in New York City from Madison Square Garden and Rucker Park. The event will celebrate the game of basketball, with teams from France, Puerto Rico and Brazil present.

The University Blue makes its way from the sole to the shoes upper by way of the suede paneling just above the mudguard. The sole finds itself done in all white and the mudguard looks to be done in white patent leather also. The tongue is done in the powder blue also moving the black to the shoes lining and a great logo laces the shoes heel.
